In terms of pendants, unique designs echoing some kind of ethnic affiliation are the most popular styles this year, especially anything mimicking an African or Native American tribe. Other gemstones, such as turquoise and onyx are the stars of these items in 2011. This style actually has extended itself in numerous directions including do it yourself jewelry or jewelry that is simply more affordable because of the lack of expensive gemstones.
